Slurry pumps types and its applications
According to the physical and chemical properties of the solid-liquid mixture, such as the composition, concentration, shape, particle size, hardness, etc.,centrifugal pumps are generally divided into two categories, slurry pumps(Slurry Pump) and non-clogging pumps (commonly known as sewage pumps).
The slurry pump is suitable for conveying solid-liquid mixtures with strong abrasiveness and hard solid particles, such as ore slurry, ash, cement slurry, mortar, gravel, etc.
Slurry pump can be divided into mud pump, sand pump, gravel pump, dredging pump, foam pump and so on.
According to different applications and media, it can also be called ash pump, slurry pump, coal pump, cement slurry pump, etc.
The non-clogging pump is suitable for conveying the mixture of sewage, manure, fiber, pulp, fish, sugar beet, fruit, industrial wastewater, etc.
Centrifugal pumps are divided into dry type and wet type according to different arrangements.
The wet type can be subdivided into submersible solid-liquid pumps and pumps in which the working part of the pump is submerged into the liquid, and submersible solid-liquid pumps in which all the motors are submerged into the water pump, such as submersible slurry pumps, submersible sewage pumps, etc. Slurry pumps and sand pumps are generally suitable for conveying tailing, concentrates, ash, cement, slime and other media.
Dredging pump, gravel pump and suction dredging pump are generally suitable for dredging and dredging projects in rivers, lakes and seas containing large solids. The solids pumped are mainly soil, sand, gravel, pebbles, etc.
Non-clogging pumps are divided into sewage pumps, cyclone pumps and pulp pumps.
The sewage pump is further divided into sewage pump and sewage pump; the cyclone pump is further divided into retraction type and centrifugal type.
According to the different installation methods, there are two types: vertical and horizontal.
Sewage pumps are generally suitable for conveying sewage, feces, fibers, industrial wastewater, etc. with less corrosiveness and serious blockage.
